A UMA custodian and devoted single mother was herself abandoned by her parents when she was two years old.

Her parents left her and her siblings alone in their apartment and never returned.

Neighbors eventually heard the children crying and called the police.

She chose a photo of herself at the age she was abandoned.

She wrote in reference to her siblings, who were separated into different foster homes, "They've done their healing, now it's time to do mine."
